Stream Pixels' Latest 'Lemoncrush' EP

Alt-pop Auckland outfit Pixels have dropped their sophomore offering Lemoncrush, a five-track EP featuring catchy Casio keyboards, glassy guitars and an abundance of retro-sounding drum samples. The songs were recorded in part at now-defunct K Rd art space Fuzzy Vibes and leader Lukas Hanson's house. Hanson dropped some knowledge on the musical make-up of the tunes...

"I love duets / songs with question answer melodies and I also wanted to delve into sounding more dramatic this time around. I’m totally influenced by the local producer sound in Auckland and wanted to mix and master it myself. The vocoder on the EP is my futurebubblegum thing that I'm into at the moment."
