Watch Pixels' New Video For 'Sticky Bun'
Auckland alt-pop artists Pixels have dropped a new video for 'Sticky Bun' from their recently released sophomore Lemoncrush EP. Shot and edited by Maximillian Quy, the delicately paced clip shows singers Lukas Hanson and Cindy Tan dueting while the band undergoes various forms of ennui in their suburban environment. UTR caught up with Pixels' songwriter Hanson who shared the origins of the video...
"Maxi came to me with the idea for the video earlier this year and it came together really other the last month... with a combination of HD and DV footage, we wanted to make a sour video for the song, something that would give you the shivers and was open for interpretation. Feeding off themes of the song being about a friend of ours who is no longer with us, and how these things are often out of your hands."
Pixels' latest 'Lemoncrush EP' is out now via Bandcamp.
