Finn Andrews Shares Single 'A Shot Through The Heart (Then Down In Flames)'

The Veils’ frontman Finn Andrews has shared ‘A Shot Through The Heart (Then Down In Flames)’, the second release from his forthcoming debut solo album One Piece At A Time. Based in London since he was 16 years old, Andrews returned to New Zealand to record the new record following the end of a relationship, with the song providing a rare and intimate peek into the artist's life. The Takapuna-native recorded his album entirely live at The Lab in Auckland, with an all-star band including Alex Freer (A.C. Freezy), Cass Basil (Carnivorous Plant Society), Reb Fountain, Nina Siegler, and Victoria Kelly. Andrews shared a statement discussing the distinction between The Veils and his own solo work...

“The last Veils record had a lot of writing from other perspectives but this one has a lot less of that and a lot more from… well, from me I guess. It’s always been personal, so it’s a different way of getting at the same thing, I suppose”.
