Listen To Finn Andrews' Fiery Single 'One By The Venom'

Finn Andrews of Devonport rock trailblazers The Veils has lifted the lid on 'One By The Venom', the latest single from his debut solo album One Piece At A Time, releasing in mid-March. Andrews trades in the maudlin earnestness of his recent single ‘A Shot Through The Heart (Then Down In Flames)’ for fiery playfulness with 'One By The Venom', rattling off rapid-fire lines like a wizard reciting spells over foot-stomping rhythms and dramatic strings. The hat-loving artist and his band are embarking on an extensive tour of Aotearoa in April and March, along with special appearances at WOMAD New Zealand 2019 Festival in New Plymouth and Auckland Folk Festival 2019. Andrews enthused about his love of lists in an accompanying statement...

"I've always had a real thing about lists - this is a list of the many ways there are to meet your maker... I just started writing it on the tube, and it became quite obsessive. There are another 5 or 6 verses I didn't use. The song was recorded live and has a really fierce little spirit.”
