Omnium Gatherum New Zealand Shows Announced

Scandinavian melodic death metal masters Omnium Gatherum are storming our shores for a cacophonous two date tour of Aotearoa this April. Hailing from the city of Kotka in the frozen wastes of Finnland, Omnium Gatherum have carved their own uncompromisingly intense path through the world of extreme metal since their formation in 1996, forging eight epic-scale long-players including 2018's prog-metal opus The Burning Cold. These head-hammering events will be Omnium Gatherum's first ever New Zealand headline shows, grab your earplugs and wrap your greasy mitts around the details below.

UPDATE 8/02/19: it was earlier reported that Omnium Gatherum would be accompanied by Melbourne's Orpheus Omega for their New Zealand tour, the organisers have confirmed they are only playing with them for their upcoming Australian shows. Here's the updated tour info...

Coming all the way down under for the very first time, OMNIUM GATHERUM!

OMNIUM GATHERUM has been a mainstay in the Melodic Death Metal world since their conception in Finland in 1996 by guitarist Markus Vanhala (also of Insomnium fame). The band has grown from strength to strength over the years, touring rigorously and growing their sound to include a progressive flair to their signature aggressive melodic death metal roots.

Since working with Swedish death metal alumni Dan Swano in 2007 on their 4th album, ‘The Redshift’, OMNIUM GATHERUM has gone on to release high charting albums including Melodeath staple album, ‘New World Shadows’. The band has worked with Dan Swano once more to create their critically acclaimed 8th studio album, ‘The Burning Cold’, a showcase of absolute melodic and progressive mastery which has been met with universal praise around the world.
