Beastwars Unleash Single 'Raise The Sword' + Video

Friday 3rd May, 2019 9:01AM

Wellington metal juggernauts Beastwars have unleashed 'Raise The Sword', the furious and fist-pumping second single from their hugely anticipated fourth studio album IV. Back in action following a health-related three year hiatus during which vocalist Matt Hyde underwent over six months of treatment for Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma in 2016, Beastwars' new record draws inspiration from Hyde's experiences confronting his life-threatening illness. The mind-melting accompanying video for 'Raise The Sword' showcases the band in their element, letting rip for a frenzied audience, comprised of live footage shot by Amber Beaton, Hamish Waterhouse, Jay Hynes, Jaime Bates, and Alexander Hallag, edited together by Nathan Hickey. Beastwars are touring their latest opus across Aotearoa this winter before jumping the ditch for shows in Australia – scope out the New Zealand tour info here and succumb to 'Raise The Sword' below...
