David Kilgour And The Heavy Eights’ new album has arrived after much anticipation, brimming with guitar twang and brushed drums. The heavily instrumental Bobbie’s A Girl is the mind meld of seasoned musicians David Kilgour (The Clean), Thomas Bell (The Shifting Sands), Tony de Raad (The Mad Scene) and Taane Tokona. Named for Kilgour’s cat Bobbie, the album is bursting with warmth from acoustic guitars and soft, gentle vocals - even the borderline bluesy 'Swan Loop' written by and featuring pianist Matt Swanson.
