Trailblazing Canadian hardcore punks Fucked Up brought the noise to Tamaki Makaurau’s underground music stronghold Whammy Bar last night, for the first leg of their North Island tour hitting Pōneke's San Fran tonight. Fronted by unstoppable vocalist Damian Abraham, the prolific crew delivered a wild performance to the Tuesday night throng of enthusiastic fans, while Hamilton’s own punk powerhouses Contenders warmed the cockles of the crowd with their own furious hooks.
