Listen To Sarah Mary Chadwick's Single 'Let's Fight'
Melbourne-based songsmith Sarah Mary Chadwick (formerly of Aotearoa's Batrider) has re-emerged in 2020 with the latest teaser for her forthcoming long player Please Daddy, releasing in late January. On 'Let's Fight', the artist charges into battle with a toe-tapping beat that belies such world-weary pronouncements as "At fifteen couldn’t shake the feeling / Life would never let my tears dry / And it’s never let my tears dry / The only time that I was right." Chadwick's NSFW black and white accompanying artwork (featured in the YouTube stream below) conveys a similarly frazzled and confronting yet joyous tone. She summed up the album on social media yesterday with the statement "I love my new record but it’s pretty sad lol!" – listen to 'Let's Fight' here...
'Please Daddy' releases on Friday 24th January via Rice Is Nice Records and Sinderlyn Records.
