Support New Zealand Artists - Bandcamp Waiving Revenue On Sales

C.C. / Friday 20th March, 2020 10:40AM

Online music hub Bandcamp have announced they'll be waiving their revenue share on all sales for 24 hours this weekend, to support musicians during the Covid-19 pandemic. In Aotearoa that's happening from 8pm Friday (tonight) until 8pm Saturday 21st March – this means all cash paid for downloads and merchandise will go directly to artists, who are in dire need of support right now following this week's wave of live event cancellations and postponements due to the coronavirus Covid-19 pandemic. If you have the means to do so, now's the perfect time to send some cash in the direction of New Zealand artists, who'll surely appreciate your help. There's a huge range of physical product to choose from, along with downloads of your favourite tunes – vinyl, cassettes, totes, caps, badges and more. We ask you to consider artists who've taken a considerable hit due to tour cancellations; imagine if everyone spent what they'd drop in a bar on entry fees and drinks on an average Friday?
