It's been heartening to witness the wave of live show announcements over the past fortnight, as our community navigates the conditions required for gigs to happen at Level 2 alert status. Tāmaki Makaurau's The Tuning Fork have sprung back into action with the ongoing Together Again series, giving punters the live entertainment options they crave with an increasingly diverse programme of music and comedy events, presented by Live Nation with support from Vodafone. Rising guitar-pop crew Daffodils are joining the bill, playing their first post-lockdown live headline show in early June and 7 Days star Urzila Carlson is returning for a second jam-packed evening of comedy, featuring Paul Ego, Irene Pink and MC Justine Smith. Scope out the upcoming Together Again events info here...

Press release:

Live shows are back! And after the first two shows sold out in just 2 days, Live Nation is excited to announce Together Again, a series of small weekly socially distanced events presented by Live Nation and backed by Vodafone, will continue! Next up on June 5, URZILA CARLSON returns with new special guests Paul Ego, Justine Smith (MC) and Irene Pink at The Tuning Fork in Auckland. Rising indie stars DAFFODILS will hit the stage on Saturday, June 6.

In a statement Live Nation New Zealand Chairman, Stuart Clumpas said: “Live Nation NZ is excited to be welcoming back live events in New Zealand. The Together Again series is an opportunity for us to unite and celebrate the power of live with some of the country’s first socially distanced shows.

The safety of our artists, audience, and staff is always a major focus at Live Nation events and venues, and especially so at this time. Our staff have been working extremely hard to get the doors open again and we aim to deliver not only a great live experience but also one that adheres to all the extra health and safety precautions and measures that line up with the government advice for events at level two.

We thank everyone in advance for making the effort to follow the new rules and guidelines that will be in place for these evolving times.”
