Jenny Hval's latest album The Practice Of Love was a low key highlight of 2019, so we're stoked to share the news the Norwegian avant-pop experimentalist has a new album entitled Menneskekollektivet on the way, recorded in collaboration with multi-instrumentalist Håvard Volden under the moniker Lost Girls. Named after the sometimes controversial in NZ Alan Moore & Melinda Gebbie graphic novel, the duo have shared their debut long player's gently unravelling twelve minute title track (meaning 'the human collective' in Norwegian), a really quite gorgeous blend of stretched-out, Balearic-tinted rhythms and Hval's reflective spoken / sung wordplay — perfect for your ears to explore during this weirdly interstitial lockdown / Level 2 period in Aotearoa. Recorded "just as the world fell apart in March last year," the five track album is launching in late March and you can bet this listener will be nabbing at least one copy if not more (for hoarding purposes), listen up below...

'Menneskekollektivet' launches on Friday 26th March via Smalltown Supersound.
