Watch Salad Boys and Christian Rock's Tour Documentary
Salad Boys and Christian Rock are the subject of a new underground documentary, shot by Christian Rock's own Rhett Copland in his first outing as a filmmaker. The film - comically titled Double Scoop Of Cookies and Cream... Thanks Mate - portrays the two groups touring last year; driving the length of the country through towns such as Christchurch, Dunedin, Wellington, Auckland and...Huntly.
Featuring a soundtrack of released and unreleased music by both groups, the lo-fi documentary captures the reality of what touring is like for many bands, with ups and downs shown throughout the 55 minute video. Highlights include some banter with a traffic cop about Stevie Ray Vaughan, before the groups are pulled over again, by a less-friendly officer.
There will be an upcoming screening of Double Scoop Of Cookies and Cream... Thanks Mate at Christchurch's Alice In Videoland, to coincide with a new compilation released by local label Melted Ice Cream. View the whole film online below.
