Ninties riot grrrl group Bikini Kill are sharing a previously unreleased song ahead of reissuing their back catalogue for their 25th anniversary. The rare live cut of 'Girl Soldier' (which the band played in early sets) is a raw and distorted offering that serves to enhance the DIY ethic the Washington punks embraced during their time together. The group disbanded in 1997, after which frontwoman Kathleen Hanna went on to form Le Tigre and more recently, The Julie Ruin. Bikini Kill are reissuing the 1993 release Yeah Yeah Yeah Yeah, along with seven unreleased tracks, next week. Check out 'Girl Soldier' below...
