Stream Minderbender's New Album - Emotions

Last week we shared the new video from lo-fi electro duo Minderbender that had the pair darting and flickering to the percussive movements of single 'Euphoria'. Now the Wellington two-piece have unveiled the full album for your streaming pleasure. As the title suggests, Emotions is a dozen songs all bearing single-word names which reflect a particular mental state, i.e disdain, infatuation, ambivalence, and so on. Minderbender's sound is rooted in synthesia, but they have managed to draw a post-punk landscape full of grimy twists and glimmering turns that mirror the human condition of conscious experience. The two-piece, which is made up of Kieran Brown and Michael van Dyk, create these variations by alternating between synth, guitar and bass, while a drum machine and loop pedal lay down the rhythm.
