Live Photos: The Eastern And Friends - San Fran, Wellington

In celebration of the release of fourth album, The Territory, alt-country act The Eastern played a show at Wellington's San Fran on Saturday night. The evening kicked off in fine style with solo acoustic sets from Reb Fountain and Barry Saunders, followed by a performance from capital city locals EB & Sparrow, who played a wonderfully subtle yet soaring set before The Eastern took the stage. The Lyttelton Harbour dwellers played a typically heartfelt, raw and raucous set, with frontman Adam McGrath his passionate, incendiary self, dispatching rants about his pet hates (mostly the National Party and rich people) between songs.
