Live Photos: Stephen Malkmus And The Jicks - James Cabaret, Wellington

Former Pavement frontman Stephen Malkmus and his current band The Jicks were in New Zealand over the last week to play a four-date tour. The Californian musician, who documented highlights his trip via Twitter, took the group (which is comprised of Mike Clark, Joanna Bolme and Jake Morris) through Auckland, Wellington and finally Dunedin, where they held two shows due to high demand. The tour follows the release of their album Wig Out At Jagbags, which was released early last year through Matador/Domino Records. Their killer Wellington appearance on Friday was supported by local acts Bunnies On Ponies and Teeth, a side project of Luke Buda that gained applause from Malkmus.
