Tokimonsta Returns To New Zealand In June

Los Angeles-based beat architect TOKiMONSTA is returning to New Zealand in June for two shows. With her background in classical piano and her unique spin on hip-hop, R 'n' B and mid-tempo electronica, TOKiMONSTA has been steadily carving out a name for herself on the club scene, including being the first female to release music on Flying Lotus' label Brainfeeder. She is coming to New Zealand off the back of her latest release Desiderium, which came out last year. Here are the details...

Hot off sets at this years SXSW and Coachella, TOKiMONSTA returns to New Zealand for two shows in Auckland and Wellington.

Her latest EP ‘Desiderium’ as well as a acclaimed sunset set at this year’s Coachella has further cemented her reputation creating infectious RNB cuts, anchored by jazzy innovative beat patterns. And after a sold out 2013 Auckland show the return of TOKiMONSTA to our shores is set to be even bigger.

TOKiMONSTA, got her start making woozy, cosmic glitch-hop, with a background in classical piano, becoming the first female to release music on Flying Lotus’ indomitable label Brainfeeder.

The Los Angeles native whose real name is Jennifer Lee, has also had releases on Ultra Records and recently launched her own label called “Young Art” which she runs and curates the releases for.
