Who The Folk Is That?!

Who the FOLK is that?! is a showcase series of young up and coming folk musicians in Wellington. This concert features the sounds of No Mans Heath, Flix Rose, and Adam Sherry.

No Mans Heath is the solo project of the singer songwriter Tom Kane. Tom was a regular at acoustic and folk clubs in the Midlands, UK for more than ten years before relocating to Wellington in 2016. No mans heath is one of the most imaginative and creative songwriters currently working in New Zealand. Fusing intricate finger style guitar with sorrowful vocals the songs are reminiscent of Elliott Smith, Sun Kil Moon and Nick Drake.


Flix Rose has recently released her debut album 'Like Birds' and after her North Island tour is excited to be playing for Who The FOLK is that?!
Winner of The Joan Prior Award 2014, Flix focuses on originals and traditional celtic folk songs playing ukulele, banjo or guitar with her aim of creating a sharing space with her music.
“Quickly making a name for herself” (The Wellingtonian) Flix has appeared with NZ artists such as Anika Moa, Shayna King, The Nukes, and was one of the first Wellington performers for international co-creative Sofar Sounds.

Adam Sherry is a whiskey drinkin', guitar playin', harmonica blowin', cigar smokin', travellin' man. Adam has been ramblin' around the world playing his music for several years now and is intent to keep on ramblin' so make sure you come listen to his tales from the road before he heads back on the road!

This is a night of great folk music not to be missed!
