Tour Information
The Bearded Cat are an acoustic folk duo from Wollongong, Australia. The duo consists of Jess Boyle and Darcy Ford who started making music together since 2017. Featuring sweet, sweet harmonies and a glockenspiel, The Bearded Cat takes influences from Fleet Foxes, Alt- J, and Angus and Julia Stone. In 2018 they had the opportunity to record some songs. This landed 'Penumbra' on national radio and helped push Darcy and Jess to treat the band a little bit more seriously. They had the opportunity to perform at the 2018 Illawarra Folk Festival and 2017’s UOW run, DuckStock.

Supporting The Bearded Cat is Wellington based artists Flix Rose and LOST BiRD.

Winner of The Joan Prior Award 2014, Flix focuses on originals and traditional celtic folk songs playing ukulele, banjo or guitar with her aim of creating a sharing space with her music. Flix has appeared with NZ artists such as Anika Moa, Shayna King, The Nukes, and was one of the first Wellington performers for international co-creative Sofar Sounds.

LOST BiRD are singer-songwriter Ali Whitton and violinist Oliver Vetter, singing folky alt-country. Songs are interspersed by storytelling and ramblings. LOST BiRD have made a name in the local folk scene with festivals, radio shows and just last year opening up for Ed Sheeran.
