Sea Mouse. The band you can’t quite pigeonhole is heading out on a hefty summer circuit starting off in Wellington and eventuating in… Wellington...

Seamus Johnson, vocalist and front-man writes with a punishing force and unrelenting vigor, delivering a punch packing and viciously high energy live shows, and brilliant translation of the record from turntable to stage.
“The album is the live show. It’s not the other way around with us like it usually is.. Band records album, band tours album etc. This albums recorded after working these songs out live. We know people react to these songs, it’s just time to share it with more people..”

That’s not to say it’s all old songs, the way this band works, you can guarantee they’re already testing out songs for album #3 and beyond.

The December released grooving title track ‘Tropical Fish’ makes it clear what all the fuss is about, a gritty and psychedelic infused take on garage rock, with a little bit of weird for good measure.
“For the record.. It’s a metaphor.. The knife is my brain, and needing to chop someone else's up. Getting on their level, figuring them out. Or maybe I’m just crazy” says Johnson.

Grouping in the first release of the album ‘Rutherfords’ and you’ve got the vibe of the album.
Expansive & edgy with a soft side and there’s some kickers to come..

The 11 track album ‘Tropical Fish’ releases Jan 31st on all platforms (watch out for the physical).
