Young Gho$t & Alphabethead present: BAD TASTE V

Things are about to get ugly - after an extended summer break, Bad Taste are back for their first show of 2022!
The award-nominated dynamic duo closed off 2022 in fine fashion with a head-turning performance at Twisted Frequency festival to bring in the new year, and have been in hiding ever since. In this time Alphabethead has nearly finished painting his house, Young Gho$t has cultivated his skills as a pasta chef, and the two have begun work on a second Bad Taste project
Not content with staying at home listening to their own songs over and over again, they're returning to the live sphere with a special show at their old haunt, the good old Wellington spot that is Valhalla

On support we have the wonderful RAY LESLIE coming down from Tamaki Makaurau to entertain us. Known for her dextrous wordplay and energetic presence, this bar-spitting songstress has two EPs and a tape under her belt already, carrying herself an upfront and easy-going vibe. No stranger to live shows, this will be her first time performing in Te-Whanganui a Tara and we plan to give her a warm welcome!
She will be joined by local upstarts and vibe setters UNDERWELLY, who previously performed with Bad Taste last year at a packed out Moon Bar, and have been growing their fanbase off the back of their 'You Can't Beat UnderWelly On A Good Day' seasonal EPs. They've not played a hometown show in a while, so expect them to bring the energy!
Opening up the night we will have the multi-talented MIKEYY and his band to set the mood with real stories and youthful energy over a backdrop of delightfully funky beats. Originally from Auckland, Mikeyy has made a big name for himself since moving down to Welly, and we can't think of anyone we'd rather have to bring the night in.
Between sets we have BIZZNET spinning decks and keeping the energy going with her energetic and varied musical selections. Looks like its going to be a big one!
