Tour Information
Flying Out and 95bFM are proud to announce The Others Way Festival

Karangahape Road in Auckland will come alive with The Others Way Festival on September 4, with a jam-packed day of New Zealand's best alternative music acts, performing across multiple venues. Thanks to Flying Out and 95bFM, The Others Way features a mammoth 27 local artists across six K'Rd venues for total immersion into a New Zealand music mecca. Taking inspiration from international music festivals CMJ and SXSW, fans will hit the streets and map out their own personal schedule of awesome acts, with a roster literally overflowing with cutting edge local indie, electronica, hip hop, and alt-pop.

90s indie rock sensation Garageland are back together for The Others Way, with the original lineup and for the first time since 2007. Their critically acclaimed album Last Exit To Garageland hit number 3 in the New Zealand charts, and went gold, singles 'Fingerpops' and 'Beelines to Heaven' quickly becoming anthems for thousands of young New Zealanders in the mid 1990s.

Ex-Mint Chick Kody Nielson brings his latest project Silicon to The Others Way, his debut album to be released on 28th August on the inimitable Domino Records. Flying Out have pre-orders for the LP here.

The Others Way also boasts a rare Auckland appearance from folk sensation Aldous Harding. Now Melbourne based, she's hitting her stride in Europe after extensive touring and an appearance on Marc Riley’s BBC Radio 6 Programme.

Alt-pop royalty Princess Chelsea has just returned from a wide tour of Europe, selling out venues in The Czech Republic and Germany. Her cult hit single Cigarette Duet now sits at a whopping 22 million views on YouTube.

The Others Way is also thrilled to feature classic Kiwi indie-pop darlings The Bats, their new album at the brink of completion.

These are but a few highlights from the stellar lineup in store for music fans, The Others Way Festival set to become an instant hit on the calendar of Auckland music.
