Nick Knox - Baroque and Vox

Dunedin Keyboardist & Vocalist Nick Knox is making a special underground appearance in Wellington.

Nick uses Arabic scales and Baroque motivic shapings in his keyboard improvisations. Weaving dark yet epiphanal polyphonies that have audiences journeying within themselves.

Combining this with dark, multi flecked vocals (think Tom Waits/Nick Cave) he presents a unique collision of aesthetics.

Nick's music is thrilling, strange and utterly unique, imagine Rammstein's tour bus, with a troupe of Tibetan throat singers on board, crashing into the middle of a Bach recital, and you can begin to imagine the sound. Otago Daily Times.
