Tour Information
A one off wonder of a show, with a coming together of killer Wellington bands at San Fran. Tis the season to have your faces melted off.

HEX brought their witch-rock to the U.S and SXSW this year, and have been in the studio recording their next LP ‘Big Woman’. “HEX calls its sound dark and sinister, gritty and ethereal, muscular and feminine. The portentous epic 'Sight Beyond the Line' storms and billows with ominous intensity, driven in part by the commanding presence of singer Kiki Van Newtown.” NPR SXSW 2018 Hottest 100

Finn Johansson writes self-described “feelings music” akin to the colour of the back of your eyelids when you’re kissing or breathing in an exhale or the pinching feeling of hope just before you have your heart broken. Overarchingly they are natural, full of the non-sequiturs associated with raw love and pain. Johansson has a skill for parsing back experiences to their most potent elements, and gently handing them over with his lilting falsetto. Finn's latest single, ‘Love Bomb’ is a tear-stained gaze into the discomfort of connection. The opening line “where did your heart come from, where is it going?” reads like a ‘leaning in’ to a love that feels at once singular and fragile. Hex's Kiki Van Newtown, UTR

Miles Calder is a Wellington-based singer/songwriter with an expressive voice and cutting lyrics. Since the release of their well-received debut album in 2016, a focused writing period and substantial touring has opened new doors musically for Miles Calder & The Rumours. Inspired by the palette of late-era Beatles, Calder’s band takes his reflective songs from understated charm to swirling psychedelia.

Support to be announced.
