Grinderman Take Hiatus To Focus On Bad Seeds

Grinderman Take Hiatus To Focus On Bad Seeds

Thursday 15th December, 2011 9:07AM

Earlier this week Nick Cave announced at Meredith Festival "that's it for Grinderman, it's over. See you in 10 years when we'll be even older and uglier". After a wave of devastation swept the internet, Faster Louder managed to nab an exclusive interview with drummer Jim Sclavunos for a full explanation.

In it Sclavunos discusses the fact that Grinderman have gone on hiatus to focus on The Bad Seeds: "we were finished with what we had to do as Grinderman and its time to move on, for now at least, and the next thing we are moving onto is The Bad Seeds", going on to note that Grinderman may not be over for good: "we may well get the itch to do another Grinderman album..."

So Grinderman aren't necessarily over for good, we may just have to wait for a decade or so for new material. Read the full interview over here.
