The White Stripes To Release Live DVD - Under New Zealand Lights

Tuesday 10th April, 2012 10:55AM

The White Stripes may be over but they've still got treats up their sleeves, the latest of which will prove particularly popular for local fans as it captures one of the bands first New Zealand performances. As part of Thirdman Records Vault subscription series they will release The White Stripes - Under New Zealand Lights (a play on their 2009 release Under Great White Northern Lights), a live DVD which features footage from their show at the Kings Arms Tavern in November 2000 as part of their first international tour along with footage of a special show at Freeman's Bay Primary School in October 2003.

At this stage the only way to get the DVD is to order the Vault 12 package which also includes vinyl from Karen Elson and The Raconteurs, by subscribing over here at the Thirdman Records site.  Orders close April 30th.

In their post about the release Pitchfork dug up this old Nightline clip on the White Stripes promoting their tour in 2000.
