What a welcome surprise. The New album by Australian electronic (and I use that term in the best sense of the word) band Pivot is an ensemble of tunes from borderline glitch to outright math rock.
You could even go as far as to call this band post-rock. Sort of Tortoisey (in fact there are mixing connections here, with John McEntire on the knobs).
There are the lighter moments, like on Sweet Memory, but at other times its as surging as Trans Am in Futureworld days.
Very, very nice and I'm going to deem this the album to bring in Summer.
