Legendary Xmas eve shakedown at the Toto Bacco Room on the 24th December. Coming straight from the warehouse studio amidst the dirty streets of London-Hackney is Mistah Jackson "Bassbin" Bailey. Playing a very special one-off headlining gig in the guise of his project TAPES, the night promises something very special for bleeding-edge dub aficionados.
Blowing a healthy dose of Ganja smoke into ever-spinning wheels of his 4-track machine and clashing it properly Dub-wise with skanking subs, hi-current powered drum-machines and a heap of computer madness the result will simply make your mind weep with joy, his latest releases have caused a dedicated sensation.

Influenced by 60s pioneers of electronic music, the BBC Radiophonic Workshop , Giampiero Boneschi, Piero Umiliani and all the other forgotten library heroes, TAPES is taking it an easy step further towards bass country. Raised from an arcane dust pile of smoldering electronics, rotted reels and jellied eels. Tapes goes about leisurely creating riddims with busted cassette recorders and stolen spring reverbs whilst drawing influence from a mish-mash of early English and Jamaican electronics pioneers.
