The Storehouse summer NZ residency continues with some more freakout shows for bohemians of all ages.
A bizarrely entertaining but utterly coherent hybrid featuring spontaneously arranged hard blues, calypso, slave-era spirituals and improvised randomania - Storehouse is your source for the good stuff all nite long. They tour extensively in the UK, Switzerland, the US and Holland, and are back at their old K'Rd stomping ground for a limited time only.
* Just $10 9pm > late late late
* Deep in the heart of the Wine Cellar, St Kevin's Arcade, K'Rd, Auckland.
* Especially tailored for hipsters.
* Worldwide since '03
Rodwell manages to eschew the cliches that beset blues music. By turns wild, angry, hypnotic and sensual, it's as uncompromising as it is funky and some of the best live music I've seen. Blues in London.
Tom Rodwell is Sheffield's answer to Lightnin' Hopkins, - NME.
