DOUBLE YOUR POSTURE WITH 47 TIMES THE DIAMANTES!

MUZAI Records, San Francisco Bath House, The Postures and 47 Diamantes are all very much in love with each other – so much so, they all need to be with each other one last time this year, and it won’t be Christmas.

It’s probably going to feel like Christmas though (or a non-denominational holiday, depending on how you feel) with the Double Deuce, taking place at San Francisco Bath House on October 15th.

Both The Postures and 47 Diamantes each curate bands, DJs, VJs, “drank”, smoke machines and sweet lights with a celebration lasting exactly one night, from 9pm at night all the way through until 6 in the morning - because they love you too.

The past few months have been busy for both bands; following on from their recent NZ tour with god bows to math to promote their split 10” out through MUZAI Records, The Postures are about depart for a slew of shows across Melbourne and Adelaide in November (with an Australian only release taking place also) – this being their last show in New Zealand for the year.

Having partaken in a Red Bull Live Session, toured the country with Tommy Ill and being “Awkward” on a boat (or a schooner, if you want to be posh as), Kelvin (Holiday with Friends, Crackhouse 5) and Gemma (Holiday with Friends, Diana Rozz) 47 Diamantes bring their fusion of electro-punk “bangers” (or awesomeness if you’d like) amidst hard working sessions recording their debut EP

Joining the hosts are Fistful of Gems (Auckland) (former members of Tiger Tones, who themselves were former members of The Shocking Pinks and Pig Out) - an act 47 Diamantes are all to familiar with, having recently asked them to support their Auckland show back in August along with perennial favourites Golden Axe. Described as “dance pop glory” and “fun fun fun”, those are two descriptors that surely must pique your interest a little bit. Right'

Making one of the rare outings before Christmas, Captain Sergeant Major, who have be rather quiet for the past year recording an album guaranteed not to be rather quiet at all. Influenced by Shellac, June of 44, Don Caballero and a feast of other bands you’re probably searching for on the internet to listen to, the band have been described as “heavy as fuck and super mellow.”

Jetsam Isles are a relatively new three piece psych/garage/noise rock outfit who have in their short time have earned an exciting buzz throughout Wellington with their shows supporting Strange House at San Francisco Bath House, Happy and The Watusi. For some people, this could be their breakout show – like when The Sex Pistols played in Manchester, just like the start of 24 Hour Party People. Only less British.
