Gig Information

Having already been rated highly by the Rolling Stone, picked up by some of the hottest festivals under the sun and releasing an album to critical acclaim, Aussie based/Kiwi born band BONJAH return home to New Zealand to launch their debut NZ single ‘The White Line’ and celebrate NZ Music Month with two local shows.

Playing Wellington's Bodega on Thursday 26th May, Auckland's Juice Bar on Friday 27th May and their hometown Tauranga's Illuminati on Saturday 28th May, New Zealand punters can now head along and see why Rolling Stone nominated BONJAH alongside The Naked And Famous for the 2011 ‘Artist To Watch’ award.

Having crossed the ditch nearly five years ago, the infectious five-piece have garnered a loyal following, and independently sold in excess of 20,000 CDs (including their critically acclaimed debut album 'Until Dawn'). BONJAH have also supported some of music’s greats including The Who, Counting Crows, G Love & Special Sauce, The Original Wailers and Australia’s own Paul Kelly and The Beautiful Girls.

“Glenn Mossop’s rich vocals bring to mind Jeff Buckley’s sad timbre, giving the music an edginess some of BONJAH’s contemporaries lack.”
- Rolling Stone Magazine

“BONJAH have big things on the road ahead of them and have outstanding potential to become one of Australia’s most beloved acts”
- The Music Network Magazine

While the New Zealanders are by now well-versed in performing their brand of pop/roots in the presence of superstars like The Who, guitarist Regan Lethbridge says having Muse watch the band’s Byron Bay show recently was one hell of a buzz.
- Beat Magazine

Don’t miss your chance to celebrate NZ Music Month with BONJAH, and give the band the welcome home they deserve.
