New Way Home has always been made up of extremely high quality musicians with ears for detail and a passion for emotional intensity. Their sound is heavy, complex and technical at times, at others, simple and beautiful. Any genre definition is to be loosely applied. They have never concerned themselves with what is expected by the metal or hardcore community and have found their own evolved sound, with everyone in the band contributing ideas musically from different backgrounds. Being handpicked by the likes of Meshuggah, Slipknot, Machinehead and Killswitch Engage, to play in front of large stadium crowds is testament to the effects of their originality and musicianship.
Their upcoming record Mirrors is a return of sorts for them. Lifes turbulence often getting in the way of many plans, New Way Home are now more eager than ever to make something special of the album. Likewise, it has been a long time since New Way Home headlined a local show and performed before the very fans that have anticipated their return for so long. That time is now upon us.
