Join the Meech Brothers as they celebrate the release of “poco” by performing songs from both of their EPs (and more). During the course of the show, they will switch between a range of instruments (yes, drums included) as the two of them to do their best to sound like the “band” on the CD. With special guest, Claire Terry, it will be a fun night – and value for money too, with the door charge set at only $5.
About poco:
An undoubted step-up in scope and style from their debut (“Lost at Sea”), “poco” sees the Meech Brothers expanding their sound, fearlessly tackling a full bands-worth of instruments themselves. They called in some help from Steve Bremner (The Adults, NZSO) who plays drums on one song. The EP was recorded at the Blue Room studio in the Toi Poneke Arts Centre in Wellington last year, and was mastered by Brett Stanton (Phoenix Foundation - live sound).
