New Music Collective is excited to be kickin off our fortnightly Thursdays again, now at a new venue..the Darkroom! 8.30pm @ The Darkroom (336 St.Asaph St.)

Each night consists of two different bands. All genres are celebrated and it’s a chance to see new collaborations between musicians and artists in Christchurch and beyond.

Pastels

Pastels are a recently conceived ensemble formed by Symon Palmer. The band has a focus on original composition relevant to the current creative climate and consists of Symon Palmer on Bass, Chris Burke on Tenor, Harry Knight on Guitar and Jonty O’Connor on Drums.

The Silhouette of Mr Pink

In preparation for a musical odyssey up to Auckland in the next few months the trio of Mike, Tam and Andy revisit original compositions that Tamara wrote in Paris inspired by the images and various characters she happened upon the way.

Featuring: Tamara Smith – flute Andy Keegan – drums Michael Story – bass
