Lock up your daughters and plug up your ears, the Bleeders are heading out to terrorize North Island bars over the next few weeks.
“We had a few riotous nights on our album tour earlier this year,” says Bleeders front man, Angelo Munro.
“I think crowds relish the energy that the Bleeders bring to town and so we thought it was time to drag our sorry arses round the traps one more time in ’08 so that you guys can throw yourselves round in a guaranteed good night out.”
The Bleeders’ self-titled second album was ignored by the mainstream and forced the Auckland band back into the arms of the underground. Funnily enough, crowds have not deserted the band.
“We’re more proud of that album than anything we’ve done previously. It sounds amazing and it kicks arse,” says Munro.
“The Bleeders had a taste of being flavour of the month when our first album went gold. But it’s like Neil Young said after his first big hit… ‘that put me in the middle of the road. Traveling there soon became a bore so I headed for the ditch’
“Bro, the Bleeders are pretty fucking happy in the ditch.”
