Lawrence Arabia ‘Chant Darling’ and Cassette 'The Jingle Kin' Joint Album Release show
With his multi-talented band, Broadsword, in tow… Lawrence Arabia finally returns to New Zealand to tour his new album, “Chant Darling”, which is out March 9 on Honorary Bedouin/Rhythmethod.
Having toured throughout the UK and Europe during 2008 with such acts as Feist, Okkervil River, Camera Obscura and NZ’s Ruby Suns and Liam Finn, Lawrence Arabia and Broadsword are back from abroad to take their full spectrum live aural britzkrieg/lovely pop music to the Aotearoan masses.
They’ll be playing cuts from “Chant Darling,” along with the better numbers from 2006’s self-titled debut, and there’s a definite possibility of Reduction Agents covers and gratuitous guest appearances from anyone of numerous former collaborators and friends.
Following their beautiful 'Cancer' EP, the fantastic album 'Cut for Summer' and the critically acclaimed Emo EP, Cassette return with their second full-length album “The Jingle King”, complete with live dates to celebrate the release. The album, and tour line-up features founding members Tom Watson and Craig Terris, joined by Andrew Bain (Fur Patrol) and Luke Buda (Phoenix Foundation).
