DISASTERADIO: DISASTERADIO is a band from New Zealand consisting of LUKE ROWELL and an excellent COMPUTER. Combining pop melody and electronics with a dash of genre referentialism, Luke has always been fascinated with electronic music from a very young age after realising the cosmic connection between Walter Carlos's Switched On Bach and Commodore 64 game soundtracks. He love the idea that something "fake" can be more real, beautiful and genuine than something "real".
Formed in 1999, when Luke began to share the music he’d been making on mp3.com and through extremely good luck and a little bit of hard work led to over 10 tours of New Zealand and one of Europe / UK. His latest album Visions is out on good buddy Blink’s A Low Hum Label in NZ.
His favouritest bands ever are Sparks, Kraftwerk, Devo, Pere Ubu, Ariel Pink and Add N To (X).

SETS: Formally of Sets of 57, branching out as a one man band has done nothing to diminish the aural quality of the now one-man-band SETS. Loop pedal, keyboard and guitar, and a funky little television frequency gadget that responds to the music waves, SETS is freaky, awesome, and he hails from Wanganui. Party.
