Residing in Napier, Dan Morgan is a long time leader in the often-obscured New Zealand techno scene.
As a DJ and promoter he has been representing techno music for over a decade. Hosting a series of Radio shows in Wellington and running a string of techno events between Wellington and Auckland with scene stalwart Matt Drake.
It all started in 1998 when he created a buzz for his Dj’ing talents by gaining top honors in a “Remix” magazine mixtape competition.
More recently Dan Morgan has been releasing music as Southern Soul with Irish techno label Monad Music. He is currently working on a studio project with fellow producer Simon Flower.
In the mix, Dan Morgan is known for his attention to detail and his consistent ability to deliver powerful and emotive DJ sets.
Kill Club is proud to be showcasing one of New Zealand’s hidden techno talents. The production will be an unadulterated wall-to-wall techno club.
Local DJ support from duo Minimal Wage and as always the Kill Club residents Ben Fulford-Talbot and Simon Kong.
Kill Club will also feature a new alternative space aptly named the “Apocalypse Lounge”.
