The human journey to New Zealand was of the most remarkable migrations ever. How did these voyages take place, and what happened when we arrived here?
Finlay Macdonald hosts a panel of speakers including Jock Phillips, General Editor of Te Ara: The On-Line Encyclopaedia of New Zealand; Geoffrey Irwin, Professor of Archaeology at Auckland University; and Matahi Brightwell, whose research has been instrumental in the revival of traditional methods in building, navigating and sailing.
Music on the evening includes performances from SJD, David Kilgour with Sam Hunt, violinist Elena and oboist Russell Walder.
