The Rogue's regular Sunday afternoon jazz. Funky, jazzy, soulful jazz. Beer, hangs, and jazz, on a Sunday, perfect!
This week featuring local saxophonist Jake Baxendale's 'Gardening Music' project
In Gardening Music each musician is encouraged to explore every aspect of the music in their own time, winding their way organically through the tapestry of the compositions: like flowing water, conjoining, separating and conjoining again. The resulting sounds evoke soft rain, vibrant new growth, and the wonderment of contemplating the natural: sometimes tranquil, sometimes jubilant, always in the moment.
Featuring:
Jake Baxendale - alto saxophone, bass clarinet
Louisa Williamson - tenor saxophone
Duncan Haynes - piano
Seth Boy - double bass
Abey Baillie - drums
Music from 5pm, Free entry, koha gratefully accepted
