Te Kōkī NZSM Big Band One will be performing songs from the 1963 album Ella and Basie! as well as other selections from the wider catalogues of both Ella Fitzgerald and the Count Basie Orchestra, two of the most important figures of the style.
This programme will be artfully presented by featured student vocalists Izi Dawson and Georgia Doyne, and instrumentalists from NZSM's jazz school led by Seth Boy.
They will be supported on the night by NZSM's vocal ensemble led by artist teacher Iris Little.
