Since a tender age Chelsea Prastiti has been enchanted by the music and stories of Disney. A childhood of riding horses bareback through the Kaimais and a career of searing RnB, hip hop, and bebop rough-housing might not put one in mind of a Disney princess (Mulan and Pocahontas notwithstanding), but Prastiti has a soft side too, one which she will explore in this extra special festival closer at the Rogue and Vagabond.
Prastiti will perform music from favourites Cinderella, The Little Mermaid, Alice in Wonderland and more, backed by a jazz combo augmented by strings, recalling the lush orchestrations of the musical minds behind Disney's classic 20th Century films such as Frank Churchill, Oliver Wallace and Alan Menken
