Join us from 7-9 for a cosy evening of music and cocktails at Bedlam & Squalor, just above Rogue and Vagabond (access on left side of building, Level 1/ 18 Garrett Street).
Starting out as humble music-making pals, Moon Goose are realising their folk powers. These strangely adorable creatures will warm your heart with their intricate harmonies, deep folk-scapes and glittering original songs. On the back of their debut EP On the Island Where Our Shadows Lie, Moon Goose have been performing to audiences across the motu, showcasing their unique blend of Celtic-inspired folk music, featuring both traditional songs from the British Isles and original compositions that celebrate nature, friendship, and the timeless spirit of folk music. Holly Dove (guitar, Celtic whistle, vocals), Britta Hamill (fiddle, vocals) and Charlie Radford (double bass, vocals) invite you to join them for an immersive musical journey rich with story and magic. Their music will move you deep and good.
Wellington-based band Butter Wouldn’t Melt bring their own unique blend of folk music incorporating aspects of country and traditional with a distinctly New Zealand flavour defined by poetic lyricism, powerful harmonies and masterful instrumentation. Gathered around one microphone, Andrea Reid (rhythm guitar), Nick Burfield (lead guitar), Cara Brasted (fiddle), Marz Connelly (double bass), and Mikey Muggeridge (mandolin) are known for their high energy and joyful performances. They are ready to melt your hearts and kick dust up off the floor in a performance that can’t be missed.
