This fortnight's serving of electro goodness is set to be served to you by two behemoths of the Auckland dance music scene. Famed for their notorious 8 Hour Marathons, their tenacity at reading a crowd and their antics both behind the decks and around town, we have the pleasure of bringing you legends SAM HILL & DANIEL FARLEY.
Sam (or simply 'Hill' as he is affectionately known amongst the initiated), has been spinning records in Auckland clubs since the '80's. A true pioneer of the sounds you've come to take for granted when you head out on the town, Sam's been supporting internationals and putting on gigs since (likely) before you were born. Having played alongside world heavyweights Fatboy Slim, Axwell, Steve Aoki and DJ Sneak to name but a few, Sam knows what tunes will make your panties wet, and he's not afraid to play them.
For those living under a rock for the past 8 years, Farley's long been a name synonymous with firing up dance floors across Australasia. A fixture on every music festival worth mentioning, from Rhythm and Vines to Our:House and Deep Hard N Funky, Dan's just returned from the nationwide Nightcap tour where he featured as a headliner. The creator and head honcho behind notorious indie club night The Nark Collective, he's also been responsible for bringing a staggering amount of internationals to our fair shores - from Crookers to AC Slater and DJ Fresh, if you've seen them, chances are he's the man writing the artist's cheque. Also a prolific producer, Farley's just returned from Oz where he toured nationally promoting his new controversial call-to-action single, L.G.F.U.
Following one after another on the night, prepare yourself to be assaulted by a 2.5 hour electro spectacular, selected by two of the finest and most revered DJs in the country. Rounding out the lineup for the evening we have your favourite residents MIKE ROSS and JONO FEKTIOUS.
Each Friday over the last month has been bigger and better than the previous, so make sure you get down early and lubricate your liver, though if you're pushed for time don't flip out because of course it's FREE ENTRY ALL NIGHT.
