✸ Matthew Pickering is a multi-instrumentalist folk-pop artist – think finger picking in alternate tunings, stories put to song. He released his debut full length album, The Burnside Church, last year. It’s been described as intelligent, personal, honest, and Wellington-centric. His new album, Up at the Bunkers, will be out in October.
✶ Eb & Sparrow are an originals Americana band, Americana being is loosest term, hauntingly beautiful, achingly true, songs of laments & love. Lead by singer songwriter Miss Ebony Lamb, the group grew to five within a year, bringing with it the fullest sounds of old to new. Eb & Sparrow produced their first two EP's in 2011, both available online or by contacting the Eb for the real deal. Currently recording their first full length album, which is a labour of love & necessity due to the prolific songwriting of Eb. Playing with friends from near & far of great respect, come be lifted into our little world.
❀ French for Rabbits is a sweet and dreamy, nautically themed duo from Wellington city, New Zealand. Named on a whim, whilst pondering “Lapin” and whether it was indeed the correct French word for rabbits. They released their debut EP 'Claimed by the Sea' in March 2012, and have recently received praise on international blogs and airplay on BBC 6 and Amazingradio.co.uk.
