Glass Owls, an alternative-pop foursome from Auckland, New Zealand who bought you singles No Avail and Griffin Boy have been keeping quiet over the last few months. The band have since been working on their debut album, and playing a few select shows around Auckland. Starting September 8th with a set at the Going Global Music Summit, the band will be bouncing back with an October tour to promote their new single and video for Let's Take The Road. The new video was directed by Simon and Dominic Taylor, who directed 2010's single Griffin Boy, and numerous videos for acclaimed New Zealand acts such as Crowded House and SJD.
Let's Take The Road is a first glimpse into the sound Glass Owls have been sculpting with producer Djeisan Suskov, and the band are so happy with it they will be conducting a North Island tour with good friends The Leers to support it's release.
The Leers, another local alt-pop outfit who have been KILLING IT live over the past few months will be joining Glass Owls on their Southerly jaunt. They've enjoyed solid local radioplay, including gaining #1, #3, #3, #6 #2 #5 on bFm's Top Ten. They will be touring and celebrating the release of their upcoming single Come With Us produced by James Dansey (The Sneaks / Spring Break / Hang Loose). As well as performing songs from their second EP which will be released later this year on Lever Street Records.
