TOMMY ILL, Wellington's premier rap team, have spent the last few years honing their craft and in 2012 have released their album 'New Hat And A Haircut' to mad acclaim. Stuff.co.nz says he's 'one of the best and most original rappers to come out of Wellington', and Salient Magazine reckons, one of the most interesting and entertaining voices in modern New Zealand music. Plus he's signed to EMI Records. What a dude.
THE EVERSONS are also from Wellington, making geeky pop music that’s heavy on the four part harmonies, dry wit and guitars. Their album 'Summer Feeling' has had high critical praise in all the papers, with The Dominion Post saying, You can’t help getting caught up in their summery harmonies and catchy rhythms. Heck even the celebrities love them, they've been getting mad kudos from the likes of Franz Ferdinand and Samuel Flynn Scott of The Phoenix Foundation.
