It's been a while since Luckless threw their shit down in front of an audience - they've been busy touring as part of any other band that will have them over the past few months. Now the guitar-drums duo (with new drummer Logan Compain, welcome aboard!) is going to cosy up in the Wine Cellar again to celebrate the release of their new, taxpayer-endorsed music video for their track Skin & Bones. Really it's just an excuse to get with friends, old and new, for a night of music and cider in the newly warmer and lighter evenings.
Old Friends Great North join in as the duo that hit the roads with Luckless last year. Be prepared for Hayden and Rachel Donnell to melt your hearts with their sweet harmonies. Their latest album Halves took off around the country, being reviewed with love and enthusiasm pretty much everywhere. They'll be fresh from seeing Bruce Springsteen in the flesh, so the sheer recent proximity to the Boss will make them even more magical than usual.
And New Friend Nadia Reid has charmed pretty much everyone in her path with her EP Letters I Wrote And Never Sent. With a turn of phrase that many double her age would kill for, she's carved out a home in Auckland's oft-fragmented music scene with her moving songwriting and compelling live show.
Only $10 on the door, come down and celebrate with all of us - we'd be really happy to see you again.
