Delaney Davidson and Marlon Williams (of the Unfaithful Ways) return to Wairarapa in support of their new album Sad But True (out November 9th) - a collection of covers and originals that combine to turn the country-genre on its head.
The pairing of Williams (a youngster who possesses the effortless hope, and clarity of a 21 year old wunderkind) and Davidson (a man on a never-ending touring schedule and self-confessed songwriting machine who recently won APRA's country song of the year award) is a compelling mixture of styles that skip effortlessly between gospel, blues & country soul and was a huge hit with local audiences when they last played in town.
